Home Exchangers Should Not Be In A Hurry
Over recent months I’ve noticed an increase in members joining ExchangeHomes.com and listing required home exchange dates within a very short space of time. Similarly, I’ve been contacted by members who have received emails inquiring about possible exchanges almost immediately.
I realize that on a few occasions, last minute exchanges are possible, but generally they are not the norm, especially in these economic times. First and foremost, people will need to exchange during dates when it impacts the least, both on their work and their wallets. And that usually requires time.
Normally, to get the best bargains, flight tickets need to be booked quite a long way in advance. Today, virtually everyone is watching the pennies so it’s highly unlikely that too many home exchanges will be set up if the time is so short, only expensive air fares are available.
